Counting Down the Hours

Yep. We are counting down the hours to our flight to Ho Chi Minh. This is the first time that me, my twin sister, Dee, Nicey, Gio, Ate Tess, and Ate Mitch will be together for a mission trip. The fact that we are actually going to have to ride a plane to get to where we're going makes this trip even bigger.

We have a lot to be thankful for. There are those people who helped us through prayers. That's what we need the most. There are those who contributed financially. The support for this trip is overwhelming not because we gathered a big amount ('cause we didn't), but because the money came from the most special bunch of people. There wasn't that ONE big contribution, but we had a number of people giving what they had selflessly. What they gave came in many forms from a handful of quarters to a bag of souvenirs. The value doesn't matter, it's the act that counts.

To all of you, thank you so much.

This blog is dedicated to all of you who are, in many ways, a part of this trip. We want you to know how God has worked through our five loaves of bread and two fishes. We will try our best to tell you about our experiences as soon as we can and as long as we have internet access (so follow this blog, eh! :D).

Here's a quick preview of what we'll be doing from tomorrow, April 2, 2011.

Our flight will fly (hey, that's fun to say... flight will fly...
flight will fly...flight will fly...) at 11 PM tomorrow. We are expected to arrive in Vietnam at around 12.30 AM on Sunday. We'll immediately check-in at the hotel, try to get some sleep, then get up at 7.00 AM. After breakfast, we'll buy bus tickets for our move to Cambodia on the 5th.

There's a lot of walking that'll be happening, but the day's highlight would be attending the Filipino Church service at 2.30 in the afternoon and the Vietnamese Church service at 7.00 PM. We'll be in charge of a testimony and a special number (which we still have to decide on).

Please pray...

  • that we have a safe flight to Vietnam.
  • that we, through God's help, can shake off anything that will hinder us from ministering in that country.
  • that the team will always be united and bonded with God's love.
  • that our prayer partners be encouraged to keep praying for us regularly.
  • that the people who made this trip possible be blessed a hundredfold.
